Mazal Tov Elie, may you have tons of nachas. They say that babies still remember the Beyond, if you look in his eyes you may be able to catch some of it.
Hi Ruach Revivalists, As Eli's twin I felt it was time I made a contribution here... The bris was yesterday and I thought you should all be filled in. The baby's name is Yisrael Akiva (Yisrael was my paternal grandfather and Akiva... they liked it, and he was born during the omer, etc..)
The best part was when Eli got up to explain why they chose these names. He talked about my grandfather z"l, and about R' Akiva, and then he explained that since his son's name is Yisrael and Eli is Eliezer, that means the baby is Yisrael ben Eliezer, the same name as the Baal Shem. He talked about how Naomi went into labor on the last day of Pesach, right around the time people have a Seudas Mashiach, and I quote Eli here "not that I'm saying that my son is the mashiach."
It was a beautiful day. Both Kohl and Katzenstein families came from far and wide to celebrate, along with a hundred college students who woke up before 10am just for the event.
Little Izzy is a beautiful kid. His Savta Kohl says that he'll be singing before he's talking.
